The Muharraq Governor, Salman bin Isa Bin Hindi Al Mannai, on behalf of the residents of the governorate across all its cities and villages, extended his highest expressions of thanks and appreciation to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for his directives to redevelop Muharraq City, which reflect the wise royal vision of strengthening national identity and preserving the city’s historical character. He also expressed his profound thanks and appreciation to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for his guidance and close follow-up to ensure the project’s implementation in a manner that meets residents’ aspirations.
This came during the Northern Governor’s meeting with residents, in the presence of Deputy Muharraq Governor Jassim bin Mohammed Al Ghatam. During the meeting, the Governor reviewed the latest developments of the Muharraq City redevelopment project, affirming that the project is progressing steadily in line with the Royal directives. He stressed the importance of community partnership in achieving the project’s objectives. He noted that the meeting provided an opportunity to listen to residents’ views and observations, reflecting the leadership’s keenness to engage the community in shaping the city’s future and developing it in line with residents’ needs while preserving its heritage identity.
For their part, residents expressed deep gratitude, great appreciation, and unwavering loyalty to HM the King, and expressed strong satisfaction with the Muharraq City redevelopment project. They affirmed that this pioneering civilisational project represents more than mere urban improvement; it revives the city’s social and cultural character, strengthens community bonds, and enables neighbourhoods to regain their former vitality.
