Coast Guard Conducts Maritime Awareness Campaign in Cooperation with Bapco Energies

The Ministry of Interior announced that, as part of efforts to enhance maritime safety and raise awareness among seafarers l, the Coast Guard has carried out a maritime awareness campaign in cooperation and coordination with Bapco Energies, within the framework of the ongoing 3D marine survey project being implemented in several maritime areas of the Kingdom.
The campaign aims to raise awareness among fishermen, boat owners, and seafarers of the importance of adhering to maritime safety guidelines and regulations governing navigation in work zones, thereby ensuring their safety and maintaining the smooth implementation of the project in accordance with the highest approved standards.
The Coast Guard affirmed that the campaign forms part of its continued efforts to strengthen partnerships with relevant national entities, calling on all seafarers to exercise caution, follow the announced guidelines, and avoid approaching designated survey areas, in order to safeguard lives and property. It further emphasised the continuation of awareness and monitoring programmes to enhance the Kingdom’s maritime security and safety system.
