At the outset of the meeting, the NPRA Undersecretary welcomed the members and commended their efforts in implementing the Maan programmes. He stressed the importance of continuing structured institutional work to enhance the effectiveness of preventive initiatives and contribute to fostering a safe educational and community environment. This came through reviewing the outcomes of the implementation of the Maan Programme during the first semester of the 2025–2026 academic year and evaluating field results in light of awareness curricula, lectures, workshops and interactive exhibitions conducted across various educational institutions.
He underscored the importance of continuing to develop the Maan Programme in accordance with an integrated institutional methodology that combines strategic planning, quality management systems and the utilisation of modern technologies, in a manner that strengthens preventive impact and supports national efforts aimed at promoting positive values of belonging and building a safe and stable society.
For his part, the Director of Crime Prevention reviewed the statistical results of the implementation of the Civil Defence curriculum. He noted that more than 55,000 students across various educational levels had benefited, as part of efforts to enhance the culture of public safety, risk prevention and the consolidation of security and safety concepts within school and community environments. Preparations for the Maan Security Awareness Exhibition 2026 and the “Maan Cartoon” initiative were also reviewed, as effective awareness tools that contribute to expanding outreach to different segments of society and achieving the programme’s objectives sustainably.
The Committee discussed the continued application of the latest internationally recognised systems and practices, foremost among them the Information Security Management System in accordance with ISO 27001 standards and approved requirements, thereby strengthening data protection, reinforcing information security controls and raising the level of institutional compliance.
