Capital Governorate Celebrates Sports Day Event

His Excellency Capital Governor Shaikh Khalid bin Hamoud bin Abdullah Al Khalifa affirmed that Bahrain's National Sports Day reflects the support given to the sports sector under the prosperous era of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and the Prime Minister.

This took place during the Capital Governorate's participation in the National Sports Day programme and activities organised by the General Sports Authority, with the governorate’s employees in attendance, as part of its support for national initiatives aimed at consolidating the concept of community sports and promoting healthy lifestyles.

HE the Capital Governor emphasised that this national occasion represents an important milestone in promoting a culture of practicing sports and raising awareness of its importance in supporting physical and mental health.

He also pointed out that the Capital Governorate's participation in the National Sports Day activities aligns with strengthening community partnerships and consolidating the role of government institutions in supporting initiatives that build a healthy and active society.
