His Excellency Capital Governor Shaikh Khalid bin Hamoud Al Khalifa received student Aisha Abdulwahab Al Balooshi following her first-place win in the Arab short story competition on volunteering values, organised by the Arab Federation for Voluntary Activities for its 2025 edition.
HE the Capital Governor praised the achievement as a reflection of Bahrain’s promising youth talents. He noted that the winning story, “A Light in the Alley of Tales,” highlighted the importance of volunteerism in humanitarian service.
He reaffirmed the Governorate’s commitment to supporting young people in cultural, creative, and voluntary fields, while commending the efforts of the Bahrain Voluntary Work Society in promoting a culture of giving and social responsibility.
