The Southern Governorate continues to distribute Ramadan baskets as part of the Majlat Al Khair 9 initiative, which is supported by His Highness Southern Governor Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa. This initiative strengthens the values of charity and community partnership, with the cooperation of the governorate employees and several organisations.

The Director of Social Programmes and Community Affairs, Mohammed Hassan, explained that the Southern Governorate is keen to launch community initiatives during the holy month of Ramadan, reflecting HH the Southern Governor's support and commitment. The initiative is among the first to achieve continuous, sustained success, thanks to its pioneering role in fostering communication and promoting cooperation and social cohesion.
The Southern Governorate continues to organise and sponsor a range of exceptional initiatives and programmes coinciding with the holy month of Ramadan, in cooperation with numerous governmental and private entities and civil society organisations.
