His Excellency Capital Governor Shaikh Khalid bin Hamoud bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, affirmed the governorate's commitment to continuing its social and humanitarian role by supporting charitable initiatives. This stems from its national responsibility to activate community partnerships, enhance social stability, and spread the values of solidarity during the holy month of Ramadan.
This came during HE the Capital Governor’s follow-up on the launch of the Ramadan basket distribution campaign, implemented by the Capital Governorate in cooperation with private sector institutions. The baskets were delivered to a number of charitable societies and civil society organisations, which will distribute them to needy families in various areas of the governorate. This ensures that this initiative reaches the needy and embodies a comprehensive model of cooperation between official bodies, civil society organisations, and the private sector.
HE the Capital Governor noted that this initiative embodies solidarity and reflects the social integration of society. He affirmed the Capital Governorate's commitment to launching and implementing programmes that meet residents' needs and strengthen the values of compassion and social cohesion.
He commended the vital role played by the private sector in supporting community initiatives, praising the efforts of charitable organisations, civil society institutions, and volunteers. This reflects a deep belief in the values of charitable and humanitarian work and enhances the spirituality of the holy month.
