The Ministry of Interior announced that, as part of efforts to enhance maritime safety and raise awareness among seafarers, and in continuation of regulatory measures to organise marine navigation, the Coast Guard carried out a maritime awareness campaign in cooperation and coordination with Bapco Energies. The campaign was implemented within the framework of the 3D marine survey project currently underway in several maritime areas of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The campaign aims to raise awareness among fishermen, boat owners, and seafarers of the importance of adhering to maritime safety guidelines and navigation regulations in designated work zones, thereby ensuring their safety and maintaining the smooth implementation of the project in accordance with the highest approved standards.
The Coast Guard affirmed that the campaign is part of its ongoing efforts to intensify field inspections, strengthen partnerships with relevant entities, and support strategic projects that contribute to the development of the energy sector. It stressed the necessity of full cooperation, avoiding designated survey areas and complying with issued instructions to safeguard lives and property.
The Coast Guard also called on all seafarers to exercise caution and follow announced guidelines, affirming its continued implementation of awareness and inspection programmes and its monitoring of marine navigation to enhance the Kingdom's maritime security and safety system.
