The Muharraq Governor, Salman bin Isa Bin Hindi Al Mannai, praised the prominent role played by researchers and authors in preserving and documenting the Kingdom’s national history. He affirmed that serious historical scholarship represents a fundamental pillar in consolidating national identity and highlighting the deep-rooted civilisational legacy of the Kingdom of Bahrain, which extends back thousands of years.
This came during the Governor’s reception of Dr Abdulaziz Ali Swaileh, a researcher specialising in archaeology, who presented the Governor with a copy of his new book, “Dilmun: The Kingdom of Civilisation.”
The Governor commended the efforts exerted in producing the book and lauded its focus on Bahrain’s status.
For his part, the author expressed his sincere appreciation to the Governor for his continuous support of researchers and intellectuals.
