Northern Governor, Hassan Abdullah Al Madani, received a number of senior officials, members of the Council of Representatives and the Shura Council, ambassadors, business leaders, as well as dignitaries and residents of the governorate, at the Northern Governorate’s Ramadan Majlis.
On this occasion, the guests and attendees extended their sincere congratulations and blessings to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister and people of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Arab and Islamic nations, on the advent of the Holy Month of Ramadan, praying to Almighty Allah to return it with goodness, prosperity and blessings.
The Northern Governor affirmed that Ramadan Majlises represent an authentic pillar in preserving Bahrain’s traditions, customs and social heritage, and serve as a fundamental platform for strengthening social cohesion by promoting communication, solidarity, coexistence, tolerance and mutual support among community members.
He also reviewed several charitable, social and health initiatives implemented by the Governorate during the holy month under the slogan “Ramadan: Partnership and Solidarity”, in cooperation with civil society organisations. These include the distribution of food baskets to underprivileged families in coordination with charitable societies, the implementation of the fast-breaking “Iftar Meal” initiative, follow-up on the “Charitable Homes Project” to meet families’ needs, the organisation of the “Gargaoun” event to reinforce cultural heritage and national identity, as well as health awareness lectures organised under the Healthy Cities Programme affiliated with the World Health Organisation.
