As part of efforts to enhance community partnerships and promote a culture of prevention, the General Directorate of Civil Defence, represented by the Public Relations and Awareness Branch, organised a series of lectures and practical programmes on public safety in coordination with the Ministry of Education. The initiative forms part of its ongoing efforts to promote safety and security concepts within the school environment, targeting administrative and teaching staff, as well as students in government and private schools across various educational stages.
The lectures covered a number of key awareness topics, including general safety procedures, emergency evacuation procedures, fire prevention methods, and basic first aid principles. Participants also received training on the proper use of fire extinguishers, with emphasis placed on compliance with safety requirements within educational facilities to help create a safe and sustainable learning environment.
