The Ministry of Interior, represented by the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, organised the awareness art competition titled “Dangers of Drugs” for intermediate and secondary school students. Participants submitted artistic works that reflected their understanding of the risks posed by narcotic substances and highlighted the role of art in promoting awareness messages and positive values within the school community.
The General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science stated that the organisation of the competition comes in implementation of the instructions of His Excellency Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Chairman of the National Anti-Drug Committee, to activate the principle of community partnership and engage all segments of society in combating this scourge by raising awareness among students.
The Directorate affirmed that cooperation with the Ministry of Education contributed directly to the competition's success and to achieving its preventive objectives.
