The General Directorate of Verdict Enforcement and Alternative Sentencing organised the fourth Ramadan Football and Padel Championship as part of its sports and social activities held during the holy month of Ramadan, with the aim of promoting sportsmanship and reinforcing institutional partnership values. The competition was held at the courts of the Arab Open University.
The event witnessed broad participation from personnel representing various directorates of the Ministry of Interior. The matches were held in an enthusiastic and competitive atmosphere, fostering friendly engagement and positive interaction among participants.
The final match and awards ceremony were attended by the Director-General of the Verdict Enforcement and Alternative Sentencing, Shaikh Khalid bin Rashid Al Khalifa, who honoured the winning teams and honoured participants and organisers in recognition of their efforts and active contribution. He noted that organising the championship reflects the Directorate’s commitment to supporting sports and social initiatives, given their role in strengthening positive communication and building team spirit.
The football final brought together the General Directorate of Verdict Enforcement and Alternative Sentencing and the Special Security Force, with the General Directorate securing first place and the Special Security Force finishing second.
In the padel final, the Southern Governorate Police Directorate claimed first place, while the Muharraq Governorate Police Directorate finished second.
At the conclusion of the championship, trophies and medals were presented to the winning teams in a distinguished sporting atmosphere that reflected fair competition and cooperation among participants.
