The Muharraq Governorate organised its 16th annual ceremony honouring a distinguished group of national and volunteer work pioneers, as well as outstanding students, coinciding with the Kingdom of Bahrain’s commemoration of the “Year of Isa Al Kabeer,” in tribute to the legacy of Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa, founder of the modern state.
The ceremony was attended by Muharraq Governor Salman bin Isa Bin Hindi Al Mannai, Deputy Governor Brigadier Jassim Mohammed Al Ghatam, and several officials and community figures, reflecting the governorate’s commitment to promoting the values of dedication and recognising those who have contributed to the nation’s advancement.
On the occasion, the Muharraq Governor expressed pride in holding the event in conjunction with the “Year of Isa Al Kabeer,” which embodies national appreciation for the founding leader who laid the foundations of progress and development in Bahrain. He noted that commemorating this national year provides an opportunity to highlight a legacy that strengthened national identity.
He added that Muharraq Governorate, with its rich historical standing, is honoured to organise this recognition ceremony, which reflects loyalty and pride under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
The Muharraq Governor emphasised that the annual ceremony underscores the governorate’s keenness to appreciate the efforts of dedicated citizens who have set exemplary standards in national and voluntary work, as well as to celebrate outstanding students who represent the Kingdom’s promising future. He stressed the importance of reinforcing community partnership and volunteerism as integral components of sustainable national development.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, the Governor presented certificates and commemorative gifts to the honourees.
