The Ministry of Interior announced that the Anti-Cybercrime Directorate of the General Directorate of Anti-Corruption and Economic and Electronic Security has arrested a 34-year-old individual for misusing social media platforms.
The individual had filmed video clips related to the Iranian aggression targeting multiple sites, in addition to publishing fabricated images generated using artificial intelligence techniques depicting alleged destruction of several homes. The content was circulated through his social media accounts in a manner constituting a legal violation and liable to harm public security and order.
Legal proceedings are being taken to refer the case to the Public Prosecution.
