In light of the exceptional circumstances and repercussions resulting from Iranian aggression targeting several sites in the Kingdom of Bahrain, Customs President Shaikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalifa conducted an inspection visit to several customs entry points to ensure the smooth flow of food supplies, essential goods, medicines, and medical equipment. The visit also aimed to affirm full adherence to the highest standards of readiness and vigilance amid ongoing regional developments.
During the visit, the Customs President conveyed to customs personnel the greetings and appreciation of His Excellency Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, and his commendation of their role in advancing customs services and implementing a distinguished customs strategy. He praised their efficiency, vigilance, advanced security awareness and high-level customs performance.
The Customs President reviewed workflow procedures and clearance processes for shipments and goods, ensuring both speed and accuracy. He stressed the importance of intensifying efforts and strengthening coordination with relevant authorities to ensure the smooth movement of imports and exports and prevent disruptions to supply chains.
