His Highness Southern Governor Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa visited several shelter centres within the Southern Governorate as part of his ongoing inspection tours to review their readiness and ensure the efficiency of the procedures in place to safeguard everyone’s safety.
HHthe Southern Governor also participated in distributing meals as part of the Fast-Breaking (Iftar) initiative, an annual tradition organised by the Southern Governorate during the holy month of Ramadan. His Highness noted that these efforts reflect the governorate’s long-standing approach to strengthening community and charitable values based on the principles of solidarity and social cohesion, while ensuring the highest standards in the services provided.
During the visit, His Highness reviewed the workflow and preparedness of the facilities, commending the efforts of the security teams from the Interior Ministry, field teams, volunteers, and relevant authorities in enhancing the rapid response system and handling various situations in accordance with established procedures.
HH the Southern Governor affirmed the governorate’s commitment to strengthening the foundations of security and safety, while continuing charitable and community initiatives during the holy month under the current circumstances. He also emphasised the importance of maintaining services for citizens and residents through continuous coordination and integration of efforts among the relevant authorities, in a way that enhances community awareness and helps protect lives and property.
