The Ministry of Interior announced that the Anti-Cybercrime Directorate at the General Directorate of Anti-Corruption, Economic and Electronic Security had identified and arrested six individuals for filming and posting videos related to the aftermath of the Iranian aggression, expressing sympathy and glorifying its hostile acts. The videos were circulated via their social media accounts, potentially misleading public opinion, spreading fear among citizens and residents, and harming security and public order.
Legal proceedings have been taken, and the arrestees have been referred to the Public Prosecution.
The Ministry of Interior urged everyone to obtain information from official sources and to refrain from circulating or reposting unreliable videos or news to avoid legal accountability and protect the security and safety of the Kingdom.
