“Fael Khair” initiative closes all outstanding cases during Ramadan

MOI

The Director-General of Verdict Enforcement and Alternative Sentencing, Shaikh Khalid bin Rashid Al Khalifa, affirmed that the “Fael Khair” initiative represents a bright humanitarian facet of community work in the Kingdom of Bahrain, through the noble values of solidarity, social cohesion, and support for those burdened by financial obligations. He noted that the initiative has become a practical model reflecting the spirit of goodness in Bahraini society.

He explained that the initiative’s milestones come as part of the Kingdom of Bahrain’s deeply rooted humanitarian approach, reinforced by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, along with the generous support and continued care of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. This has helped strengthen a culture of giving and generosity, opened the way for impactful initiatives, encouraged philanthropists to take the lead and compete in doing good, and made a real difference in the lives of beneficiaries.

He added that the “Fael Khair” initiative also falls within the framework of the instructions of His Excellency the Interior Minister, General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, which support all efforts aimed at easing the burdens on distressed individuals and strengthening social cohesion.

The Director-General pointed out that, since its launch in 2020, the initiative has continued its humanitarian mission for over six years, offering a clear example of how purposeful community initiatives can move from a noble idea to a tangible reality that touches people’s lives and gives many distressed cases an opportunity to regain stability and restore balance.

He stated that, as of 28 Ramadan of this year, the initiative had succeeded in closing all recorded distressed cases. He noted that the initiative achieved significant humanitarian and social results during the holy month of Ramadan this year, benefiting 81 individuals, with 122 financial case files settled for a total value of BD311,705.368, reflecting the scale of its humanitarian and social impact on beneficiaries and their families.

He further said that since the launch of the “Fael Khair” programme, the value of donations has exceeded BD4 million. He expressed deep appreciation to all those who supported the initiative, stressing that what has been achieved would not have come to light without this sincere giving and a strong sense of social responsibility. He also praised the positive contribution of content creators on social media platforms in highlighting distressed cases, introducing the initiative’s objectives, and strengthening its wider community presence.

He concluded by affirming that the “Fael Khair” initiative has presented a highly impactful humanitarian model that has gone beyond financial support to create direct social impact by helping to contain many cases of financial distress and restoring stability for beneficiaries and their families. He noted that completing the settlement of all cases listed under the initiative is a clear indication of its success in achieving its humanitarian and social objectives, and reflects the effectiveness of this approach in consolidating the values of solidarity and mutual support, and translating giving into a direct and tangible impact on the lives of beneficiaries.
