The Ministry of Interior announced that the Southern Governorate Police Directorate had arrested a 53-year-old man following cases in which he had carried out acts of fraud and deception against others by selling them mobile phones through instalment plans, then requiring them to sign contracts which he later altered by forging and inserting inflated amounts exceeding the actual value of the phones sold.
The directorate explained that upon receiving several reports on the matter, it immediately launched search and investigation operations and gathered information and evidence, which led to the identification and arrest of the suspect. Legal procedures have been taken and the case has been referred to the Public Prosecution.
