His Highness the Southern Governor, Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa chaired the third Security Committee meeting for 2026 in Bahrain’s Southern Governorate. Senior officials from the Southern Governorate and the Ministry of Interior security directorates attended.
He reaffirmed Bahrain’s commitment under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister to confront any threats to national stability and public safety. He praised national security efforts and the committee’s role in implementing the instructions of His Excellency Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa.
The meeting included briefings on police and civil defence actions taken in response to recent attacks on facilities and installations, commending their preparedness and rapid response. He concluded by emphasising continued coordination to strengthen security and safety in the Governorate.
