HE Interior Minister visits National Ambulance and Police Media

His Excellency the Interior Minister, General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, visited on Wednesday the National Ambulance Operations Centre and the General Directorate of Media and Security Culture. The visit was part of an ongoing follow-up on readiness and efficiency in dealing with the repercussions of Iranian aggression, in a manner that contributes to further developing work mechanisms for addressing emergencies.
At the outset of the visit, HE the Interior Minister conveyed the greetings and appreciation of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Prime Minister, to the personnel of the National Ambulance and Police Media in recognition of their efforts in dealing with the repercussions of the malicious and unjustified Iranian aggression against citizens, residents, infrastructure and civilian targets.
During his visit to the National Ambulance Operations Centre, HE the Interior Minister was briefed on the level of operational readiness across all centres, the reinforcement of medical teams and ambulance vehicles, and the increased coordination with the relevant authorities to ensure rapid response to all emergency cases. The National Ambulance has provided emergency services to many injured people at incident sites and shelter centres, with readiness measures including deploying more than 176 ambulance vehicles as part of the emergency plan activation to handle cases.
HE the Interior Minister praised the National Ambulance's role in reducing response times for emergency cases and transferring patients to hospitals. He noted that this is a matter of community appreciation and reflects a high level of preparedness. He added that the honourable image projected by ambulance personnel reflects their belief in their national duty and the high level of field skills and competence they possess in dealing with various incidents, in coordination with the General Directorate of Civil Defence.
In the same context, HE the Interior Minister affirmed during his visit to the Police Media Centre that the Kingdom of Bahrain had proven its readiness in its first real test, during which it moved from a normal situation to an operational one within hours, and that the armed forces had succeeded in confronting and dealing efficiently with the repercussions of the Iranian aggression.
He pointed out that the government, thanks to the support and directives of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, had worked as one team and through integrated agencies in confronting the repercussions of the aggression. He added that the Ministry of Interior is a key authority in this regard, strengthening the security and stability of society and quickly reaching citizens and residents to reassure them. “Therefore, we have achieved interaction with the community,” he said.
HE the Interior Minister explained that the Police Media had been the foundation of all the work carried out and that it reflected the work of all the ministry's directorates. He stressed that media reporting is highly important, and that this readiness is a source of pride and honour. He commended the role of field police media and its professional efforts in delivering a disciplined media message characterised by credibility, accuracy, speed and clarity.
He also reviewed the role of the Police Media in boosting the morale of frontline personnel and keeping them informed of the support they receive from the wise leadership and its care for national cadres, as well as the national dedication they embody. He noted that the Police Media had also helped promote reassurance among citizens and residents by clarifying the efforts and measures undertaken by the esteemed government across all sectors and its role in limiting the repercussions of the aggression, which had a profound effect in strengthening public confidence in the effective government plans and measures.
He was also briefed on a summary of the efforts undertaken by the General Directorate of Media and Security Culture to enhance security awareness and public education. The total number of media items released through international channels reached 354, while the total number of news items and media posts issued by the ministry reached 1,858. Social media platforms also recorded the highest viewership, with more than 128 million views, ensuring that citizens and residents remained directly informed of developments, instructions, and guidance aimed at the safety and security of all, within the framework of community partnership to strengthen the public security and safety.
HE the Interior Minister stressed that today’s duty is to protect the national achievements through steadfastness, discipline, sincerity and genuine dedication. He expressed his appreciation to police personnel at all sites for performing their duties professionally, praying to God to protect Bahrain and continue to bless it with security and stability.
For his part, the Director-General of Media and Security Culture, Major-General Mohammed Bin Daina, expressed his thanks and appreciation to HE the Interior Minister for his support and directives for the progress of the Police Media. He stated HE the Interior Minister’s keenness from the very first moment was to highlight events and follow up every detail closely so that the media message would be effective in achieving security and stability.
