In the media briefing, all public safety measures have been taken

MOI

The Ministry of Interior affirmed during a media briefing aired on Bahrain Television that all precautionary and preventive measures have been taken in preparation for the resumption of work on the second phase of technical repairs to the damage sustained by the Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company facility due to the heinous Iranian aggression.

The Ministry of Interior highlighted the importance of reviewing the instructions and public safety procedures available on the National Civil Protection Platform at https://www.ncpp.gov.bh/, particularly those related to an ammonia gas leak.

As shown on the attached map, and as an additional precaution to safeguard the safety of citizens and residents, a 2-kilometre radius has been designated, covering institutions and facilities, as well as a limited part of Block 619. Residents were informed of an optional evacuation and were provided with temporary alternative accommodation.

All safety measures have been taken to ensure that no materials leak in a way that could cause harm.

Among the instructions and public safety procedures published on the platform are the need to proceed to a safe place inside the home and remain in a room, while closing windows and doors, switching off ventilation systems, and placing wet towels under doors and windows to prevent contaminated air from entering.

Residents of the indicated area are requested to cooperate with the competent authorities and adhere to the instructions issued, which are intended first and foremost to ensure their safety. The Ministry reiterated that all necessary precautions have been taken to ensure everyone's safety.
