His Highness Southern Governor Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, chaired the fourth meeting of the Security Committee for 2026, in the presence of Deputy Southern Governor Colonel Hamad Mohammed Abdullah Al Khayyat, Deputy Director- General of the Southern Governorate Police Colonel Shaikh Salman bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, and a number of officers representing the security directorates of the Ministry of Interior.
During the meeting, HH the Southern Governor welcomed the attendees, emphasising the role of the Governorate's Security Committee in implementing the directives of His Excellency Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, and in addressing the needs of the residents to enhance security and stability in the governorate. He also noted the importance of promoting safety and security within the community.
He was briefed on the most prominent security efforts undertaken by the Southern Governorate Police Directorate, which addressed the security needs of the residents and contributed to enhancing safety and security in the governorate. He stressed the necessity of maintaining security readiness and ensuring a rapid response to incoming reports.
He was also briefed on the efforts of the General Directorate of Civil Defence in dealing with the repercussions of the blatant Iranian attacks on facilities and infrastructure. He commended the dedication of the Civil Defence personnel in protecting lives and property, and praised the high level of preparedness and rapid response in fulfilling their national duty, as well as their active role in cooperation and joint coordination across the various regions of the governorate.
At the end of the meeting, he expressed his sincere wishes to the wise leadership and expressed his appreciation for the sincere efforts exerted in service of the nation, under the wise leadership.
