The Muharraq Governor Salman bin Isa Bin Hindi Al Mannai affirmed the importance of highlighting national landmarks across the Muharraq Governorate and enhancing spaces designated for national occasions, in line with the Muharraq Development Project and ongoing efforts to preserve its historical and cultural identity.
This was highlighted during a coordination meeting chaired by the Governor and attended by various officials. The platform was established by the governorate during the reception held for His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and is set to become an integrated national landmark.
The flag platform development project is the result of a community partnership among Muharraq Governorate, Muharraq Municipality, Muharraq Municipal Council, and several engineering offices. It is expected to mark a qualitative leap in the organisation of national events, reflecting the Kingdom’s civilised image, embodying the flag’s status as an enduring symbol of national unity and sovereignty, and reinforcing the site’s position as a main destination for both official and public celebrations.
