The Operations Directorate, in cooperation and coordination with National Ambulance, succeeded in saving the life of a 35-year-old woman after she suffered an epileptic seizure that nearly claimed her life.
The Directorate had received a silent call through the 999 emergency line. Upon calling back, the call receiver found that the caller was a six-year-old girl, before the line was disconnected, prompting urgent measures to verify the situation.
It stated that, through communication via the video call service, the girl directed the phone towards her mother, who was unconscious. She was immediately guided to move outside the apartment, which helped identify the location and direct the ambulance to the scene. The mother was then transferred to King Hamad University Hospital, where her condition was reported as stable.
The Directorate affirmed that the speed of response and the girl’s cooperation contributed to saving her mother’s life.
