The General Directorate of Civil Defence launched a fireman character for children “Gaith” in an event held in “Watani” magazine corner at Seef Mall. Present was Director-General of Civil Defence Brigadier Ali Mohammed Al Kubaisi.
Director-General of Civil Defence confirmed that the launch of the character “Ghaith” was an initiative to communicate with children and enhance their culture of civil defence and safety, which contributes to raising awareness in dealing with the various risks and challenges they may face.
He pointed out that Watani magazine, which is issued by the General Directorate of Media and Security Culture, celebrates children’s favourite characters to deliver awareness messages through stories that help them deal with incidents of fires, injuries, and suffocation.
The event included awareness films of the most important security and safety guidelines, a practical explanation of first aid methods, in addition to drawing and colouring activities.
