The Coast Guard patrols have arrested four fishermen and seized their dhow (Banoosh) in Fasht Al Jarim for fishing with banned fishing nets.
Legal proceedings were taken to refer the case to the Public Prosecution. The Coast Guard called upon seafarers to follow the rules related to avoiding fishing during fishing bans, using illegal fishing tools and overfishing to protect fisheries and natural reserves.
