HE Interior Minister holds a meeting with Jaffary Endowments Council

His Excellency Interior Minister, General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa held on Wednesday an online meeting with Chairman of Jaffary Endowments Council, Yousif Saleh Al Saleh.

The meeting was also attended by members of Husainiya Procession Authority, Heads of Mattams (Community Centres), Chief of Public Security and Governors. It was held on the occasion of the success of Ashoora season that marked within the precautionary measures as part of national efforts against coronavirus.

HE Interior Minister delivered a speech in which he asserted the importance of holding this annual meeting as part of the community partnership of the Interior Ministry. He said that the extraordinary situations in Bahrain and the world because of coronavirus pandemic led to holding the meeting remotely.

He highlighted that meeting was part of the wise approach of His Majesty King Hama bin Isa Al Khalifa to ensure the safety and comfort of citizens through the Royal care and support to Ashoora season to mark the occasion in a way suitable to its values.

HE Interior Minister hailed the government support led by His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Prime Minister and dedication of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister. He said that efforts against coronavirus won the appreciation of the World Health organisation.

He asserted that the success of Ashoora season and the commitment to the medical team procedures reflect public awareness and national responsibility. He also hailed the commitment and cooperation of Mattams’ heads and officials and members of the authority. He also thanked the chairman and members of the council for their cooperation.

We have been in direct contact with you and continuously coordinating with the medical team as part of the work of the Bahrain Team. We appreciate your role and responsibility that we hope will continue with the same level of national spirit to serve Bahrain and protect national accomplishments,” HE Interior Minister said.

He expressed thanks and appreciation to governors for their efforts in following up and coordinating to providing the required services. He also thanked the Chief of Public Security, officers, commissioned officers, and personnel, especially the community partnership personnel who have been committed to their duties at all sites and conditions.

He said that Ashoora of this year witnessed a commitment to the religious speech and social distancing as part of the awareness and sense of national responsibility of people.

HE Interior Minister concluded by asserting that the freedom of practising religious rituals are protected by the constitution and the law, highlighting that the Interior Ministry is dedicated to ensuring that those freedoms aren’t exploited to break the law or traditions, through providing the appropriate services for the success of all religious occasions.

After that, HE Interior Minister listened to speeches of some heads of Mattams about efforts to ensure the success of Ashoora occasions. Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Council expressed his gratitude for the speech of HM the King after the end of the season. He valued the efforts of the Interior Ministry to protect security and stability and ensure the safety of people while marking religious occasions.
