Reformation and Rehabilitation takes security and legal procedures against inmates for blocking corridors

General Directorate of Reformation and Rehabilitation said on Saturday that a limited number of inmates had blocked corridors, refused to go inside their cells and violated instructions in the last days. Their deeds resulted in hindering provided services, including calls and healthcare for other inmates. They also disturbed work procedures.
Violated inmates were warned and asked to follow the law and then didn’t adhere to the orders. Therefore security and legal procedures were taken today against them, in which they were involved in chaos and violence against police personnel while carrying their duties.
The General Directorate highlighted that the Public Prosecution and the Prisoners and Detainees Rights Commission were notified about the case.
