The Muharraq Governorate Police Directorate, in coordination with the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science, has arrested a man, 21, for cheating the seller of a gold shop in Muharraq by pretending that he paid through an e-payment app. An investigation into the case led to identifying and arresting the suspect within 24 hours of the incident. The probe also revealed that he had committed such a crime before in different areas. Legal proceedings are being taken to refer the case to the Public Prosecution.
