The Northern Governorate, in partnership with King Hamad University Hospital and American Mission Hospital, held an event for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, highlighting the importance of early detection for prevention.
The Northern Governor Ali bin Al Shaikh Abdulhussain Al Asfoor, highlighted the importance of early detection and reaffirmed the governorate’s commitment to health initiatives that strengthen prevention systems, particularly for cancers. He expressed gratitude to the two medical facilities for hosting the event and thanked all the participants.
The Chief Medical Officer of American Mission Hospital, Dr. George Cheriyan shared recovery statistics and emphasised the critical role of early detection in combating the disease.
The event included a self-examination awareness lecture and a survivor’s experience.
