Secretary-General of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers Dr. Mohammed bin Ali Koman, hailed the successes and achievements achieved by the Kingdom of Bahrain, during the era of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa with the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
He commended the success of the Kingdom of Bahrain in implementing the Alternative Sentencing and Open Prisons Programme at the Ministry of Interior to promote human rights and care for inmates, which won the first level of the Prince Nayef Award for Arab Security in the category of pioneering security programmes for the year 2023, and was included in the conference documents of the twenty-second Arab Conference for Heads of Punitive and Correctional Institutions which was held in Cairo. The presentation delivered by Director-General of Verdict Enforcement and Alternative Sentencing Shaikh Khalid bin Rashid Al Khalifa, who headed the Kingdom’s delegation to the conference, was the focus of attention and praise from the participants. All of these indicators reflect the success of the Ministry of Interior’s strategies and initiatives in supporting the comprehensive development process and the Economic Vision 2030.
Dr Mohammed bin Ali Koman commended the role played by the Ministry of Interior in the Kingdom of Bahrain led by His Excellency Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa.
