Al Amn FM Radio Show focused on Thursday on the role of Customs Affairs in tackling importing restricted and banned goods. Organised by the General Directorate of Media and Security Culture, in cooperation with Radio Bahrain, the show hosted the Head of Customs Operations, Captain Mohammed Al Dossairi.
He reviewed Customs Affairs efforts to control the import of restricted and prohibited goods. He highlighted that Customs Affairs classifies goods into three categories: permitted goods imported by applicable customs procedures, restricted goods that require prior approval from the relevant authorities, and goods that are prohibited from being imported. He continued that customers must verify the classification of goods and the permits required for restricted goods through the Customs Affairs website or the virtual service centre.
