President of Customs honours outstanding employees and participants in the “Fikra”

The President of Customs Shaikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalifa, attended a ceremony organised by Customs Affairs to honour outstanding employees and those who participated in the second edition of the “Fikra” customs competition. The event was held as part of the activities marking World Customs Day 2026, under the theme “Customs Protects Society through Commitment and Responsibility.”

The President of Customs praised the distinguished efforts and valuable achievements of Customs Affairs personnel across all customs-related fields. He noted that these accomplishments reflect a high level of vigilance and professionalism.

He also commended the innovative ideas presented by participants in the “Fikra” competition, highlighting their effective contribution to enhancing competitiveness and advancing customs operations. He noted that these ideas demonstrate the commitment of Customs Affairs staff to achieving the best possible outcomes in customs work, expressing pride in employees’ achievements and dedication as they continue the journey of excellence and success.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, the President of Customs presented certificates of excellence to 20 employees who demonstrated outstanding performance in carrying out their assigned duties. He also honoured 22 employees for their participation in the “Fikra” customs competition, whose ideas qualified for implementation within Customs Affairs, contributing to the improvement of customs procedures, the development of work processes, and the achievement of Customs Affairs’ objectives.
